Just where the charming little village of Trosa begins, a 45 min drive from Stockholm, you will find Åda Golf & Country Club.
The land, where the club today resides, has belonged to the Isoz-family since 1841 and for many years has been used for breeding of wild hogs, deer and sheep. Therefore - don´t be surprised if you run into some of these species out on the course. The chance (or risk?) of meeting a wild hog has been reduced by a fence which surrounds the course.
Inside the fence you´ll find an 18-hole forest & parkland course engulfed in the natural beauty of the Sormland countryside. The many trees and abundant water come into play on at least 10 of the holes and tactical positioning is required from many of the tees to avoid the natural and plentiful pitfalls that await the wayward shot. Having said that, Åda is a fair and thoroughly enjoyable course and you´ll find the course staff only too eager to help.
Our hotel is situated 50 meters from the Clubhouse and 20 meters from first tee. It is really a golf hotel, in the full sense of the word. All our 18 double rooms have been named and decorated after classic English, Scottish and Irish golf-courses. The history of golf is a great interest among us and we want our guests to get acquainted with the history of these courses.
