Waxholms golf club has two courses. One 18-hole masters course (twice host to the European Challenge Tour) and a very nice, short-hole 9-hole par 3 course.

The Waxholms Golf club was founded in 1989 and is situated closed to the archipelago in a beautiful landscape that soon to be declared as a state protected "Nature Reservation Area". It´s build with beautifully large greens and generous fairways.
The Waxholm golf course offers play of variable difficulty, stimulating both to the demanding player as well as the intermediate and beginner.

The course is known to be long for back tee-players: 6.706 meters (one of the longest in Europe) and for it´s many bunkers. The constructing architect is Tommy Nordström, one of the country´s most experienced, well known and qualified golf course architects.
During 2004-2007 Waxholms GK arranged men´s competition on the Swedish Telia Tour and the European Challenge Tour. Names like Peter Baker, Rafael Echenique, Martin Kaymer, Stuart Manley, Iain Pyman, Eduardo Romero etc were represented among the participating players. Stuart Manley from Wales has the course record with 64.

Location
If you go by car: Leave the City and go north on road E18. Pass the suburb Täby. Take to the right at exit nr 186 to Vaxholm and road nr 274. After about 7 km turn right (Bogesund/Ellboda). After another 5 km turn right when you see a golf-sign. One minute later you can see the club house and parking on your right hand.
