Founded in 1932 Ljunghusen Golf Club ranks among Sweden’s oldest; in 1965 it became the first course in Sweden to feature 27 holes. The venue is one but a very few in Sweden to be classified as a true links course.
The heaths in the area surrounding Falsterbo are reminiscent of Scotland and most people who live in this beautiful part in Sweden play the game of golf. And just as in Scotland you will see people riding their bikes or walking along, pulling their golf bag. The course is located in a nature reserve and is adjacent to an area of wetlands. Most holes are situated no more than yards away from the Baltic Sea.
