The beautiful golf course of Falköping Golf Club rests on historical soil. The course is situated at the Berga Estate, whose history reaches back to the Middle-Ages.
The “old course” at Falköping Golf Club is a par 72 course of 5835 meters and has the characteristics of a typical park course. The rivulet flowing through the course creates repeating challenges that force the wise golfer to consider the options. Some holes give the opportunities for birdies or easy pars. Others are more spectacular and demands consideration and sufficient long blows. The course offers a great variety. Golfers are presented with elevated holes, doglegs, short and long holes of varying pars, some that are both challenging and risk-rewarding. The result is an entertaining game of golf that will test the limits of your skills and still be a pleasure even if your abilities are more of the average golfers.
The ”New Course” at Falköping Golf Club is a 2660 meter par 36 course serving as an attractive complement to the “Old Course”. The “New Course” was inaugurated in September of 2006 and is technically challenging. Water braces holes 1-7 and from numbers 8 and 9 the beautiful landscape frames the view of the final two holes.
Falköping Golf Club has been ranked by Golf Digest (Sweden) as number 1 among the 28 Golf Clubs in the district of Westgotia (Västergötland) and 42 out of somewhat 500 Golf Clubs in Sweden. The motivation of the ranking is striking and fair: “Golfing ought to be fun – and golfing in Falköping is fun”
